Geneflux™ has a “state of the art” molecular diagnostic laboratory in Bandar Puchong Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, which is well equipped to provide contract R & D services in the areas of biotechnology, tissue culture, microbiology, molecular biology, proteomics and genomics. A strong team of scientists and technologists, has registered 3 initial patents, negotiated 4 technology licenses and successfully carried out five innovative and nature-inspired biotechnology projects. Geneflux has five molecular diagnostic kits which are rapid, accurate, highly sensitive, highly specific, and independent and can be used in any brand of PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) and real time PCR.
- MyDENKit™, Geneflux’s flagship product, is a molecular diagnostic kit that detects and serotypes 4 serotypes of dengue virus in clinical samples (blood) during pre-febrile and early febrile stage, before the development of antibodies. It is the first kit in the world which has undergone Global Validation Test in WHO labs and national public health laboratories.
- MuRSAflux™ is a conventional PCR-based molecular diagnostic kit for identification of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus using samples collected from individual patients and hospitals wards, operation theatres, healthcare providers, clinical equipments and other high risk units such as ICUs, burn units or surgical wards.
- FluFinder™ is a confirmatory and definitive diagnostic test for Influenza A subtype H1N1 virus, based on real time PCR technology. It uses the protocols and guidelines as stated by WHO and is available for molecular screening services in Malaysia.
- MyCMVKit™ is a real-time PCR assay for the detection of Cytomegalovirus (CMV) and quantitates viral load in the clinical sample. CMV may cause severe infections in immunologically immature or immune-compromised individuals.
- MelioKit is a PCR-based kit for the detection and differentiation of Melioidosis (Burkholderia pseudomallei and Burkholderia cepacia). Melioidosis is a potentially fatal infectious disease caused by a soil organism. This kit is available in two versions, a conventional assay and a real-time SYBRGreen-based technology.
